And Driving Matters.
Mazda people tend to be a bit less conservative in their color choices than most buyers of CRVs, Camrys, and RAV4s (although we get a bunch of black-and-tan RAVs). Anyway, White-over-red makes me feel some kind of way.
that’s 075 Bright Red. Also known as mmmmmmm....
As with all CST installations, the wrinkles will fall out in a few weeks.

That is perfect

I like this, although my butt is sweating just thinking about it in the Texas heat.

I’d do that! Silver with a slightly darker red would be even better.

Not going to lie, I heard that first sentence in my head in the same voice as the commercials

I talked about a brownish-gray one last week
with burgundy leather...
but the 074 medium red would be even better...

Looks good to me. My mid-level Touring model has the “leatherette” seats but they’re unfortunately not heated. If I ever have the spare cash, I’m having that installed for sure.

I kind of want this red in my Forester. I see the standard color choices for my car are black, “stone” and a saddle brown... can this color be specified?

If you’re looking at Classic Soft Trim it’s 075 Bright Red.
The “Stone,” is matched to Subaru’s “platinum,” interior.

Thanks. Yeah the platinum is my current interior. I think the red would look awesome. My car has 60k miles and the seat fabric borderline trashed so I’m seriously thinking about CST.

I assume CST is a Katzkin competitor? I like the red Mazda, looks great.

CST was around for about 15 years before Katzkin. They sell leather kits under the Roadwire brand now - it started as Distinctive Industries, then Classic Soft Trim.
Distinctive Industries is now the classics division, CST are corporate and franchise installation shops, Roadwire is the wholesaler /producer of the leather kits, and Signature Sunroofs does sunroofs and power tops for TJ and JK Wranglers. Signature is from the merger of Inalfa and ASC - the company that made the 3rd-gen F-body Convertibles and the 3000GT Spyder. They spun off their manufacturing arm and our parent company bought it.
*edit*
M-B-W has CST leather in his Subaroo
. He’s had it a few years now and it looked really good when he got it done.

Here in Charlotte the market forces our prices lower than in Texas. We do this for retail customers for about a grand. I don’t know how much it would be out your way.

That seems really good. There is an installer here in SA hat I should call and see. I’m expecting $1500-2000 TBH.

Thanks. Sounds like it’s in an industrial area near the airport that I’m familiar with. I know you’ve said it on here before, but you work for an actual corporate location right?

Looks perfect with the red doorcards, were those stock?
![]() 10/11/2017 at 10:53 |

Stock door panels were black cloth. We put red vinyl over them. Door cards can make an off-color choice work pretty well.

It does!
Is this molded vinyl, part us the CST kit that you glue on top of the fabric?
It looks very well done
![]() 10/11/2017 at 11:09 |

It’s upholstery vinyl. The cloth insert in most cars is actually either screwed or plastic-welded into the door panel so our guy glues our vinyl over the fabric and then reattaches it to the panel.

Aah, ok, thanks for the info!
